Terms of service

Payment method

✧ Payment is done exclusively on PayPal through invoices, 50% upfront as a deposit, 50% after confirming the sketch.✧ Prices are non-negotiable. If the price happens to be out of your budget, however, we can figure out a different format that might be more suitable for your project.✧ No payment plans are allowed unless the project is long term (multiple illustrations over multiple months).

Commission process

✧ After you submit the commission form, I will get back to you as soon as possible with an estimate. This usually takes 1-2 working days.✧ Once you confirm the commission by agreeing to the price, I will send you an invoice for the 50% deposit and start working on the drawing the day after payment is confirmed.✧ As soon as I have a rough sketch ready (up to 2-3 days for faster commissions and a week for more complicated ones), I will send it to you for confirmation. If the commission is an illustration, I will send you a few thumbnails that you'll be able to choose from.✧ During this phase, up to two significant revisions are allowed. A revision can be a change in expression, pose, background, lighting or clothing. For any extra revisions after the 2nd a fee will be applied (check revision fees in the prices section for details). Please keep in mind I will not count a complete redraw from scratch as "revision" -- the general idea that we agree upon when you fill the commission form is what you will get, and I will not start over if you change your mind after the first sketches have already been sent.✧ A colored sketch is sent to the client. If the palette was not discussed beforehand, multiple color variations will be sent to let the client decide.✧ Once you confirm the sketch, you will no longer be able to ask for changes. This is for the sake of ensuring the drawing process is as smooth and as fast as possible. I will send the second invoice for the remaining 50%, and after it is paid, I will get started on cleaning up/ rendering the image.✧ I will continue working on the commission and send you regular updates.✧ Once the commission is finished, you will receive the files via email. If files are too heavy, I will share a private link to the files on my Google Drive. The files will be in both PNG and PDF formats. You won't be receiving any source PSD files.✧ I will also send you an additional smaller PNG file with two watermarks that you may post on social media or share with other people. It will still be high quality, but more suitable for avoiding online art theft.

Conditions

By sending the first payment of your commission, you agree to all the terms stated below.✧You, the client, may never, under any circumstances:
-delete, crop, blur, smear or hide the watermark and/or signature on the image;
-claim the drawing as your own creation;
-use any work-in-progress pictures or the finished illustration for AI training or AI image generation purposes. This applies to both the HD files and the watermarked version.
✧ Commissions are for personal use only. Commercial use and redistribution are forbidden. Unless commercial rights are purchased, the artist retains all rights to monetize the art; this includes marketing and digital product sales (e.g. wallpapers and process videos).✧ You may also not share the original higher-quality image of your commission through social media or private messaging platforms (if it's a gift, you can send it privately to the person you are gifting it to; in that case, the same conditions apply to the gift recipient as well).

Commercial vs Personal use

✧ Personal use includes:
-using the image as wallpaper, header or profile picture on non-business social media accounts;
-printing the image to keep it in your home or on personal belongings;
-posting the image on your social media, as long as it is not the full HD version; it must be the watermarked version of the file.
✧ Commercial use consists of making profit through the image, which includes:
-printing the image to sell it to others;
-printing the image onto merchandise;
-using the image for AI image generation or training;
-using the image for self promotion (banners, emotes, ads, channel/page icons);
-using the image for NFTs or other cryptocurrency-based systems.
If you're interested in commissioning artwork for commercial purposes, please state so in your form. We will arrange a price based on your budget and your planned usage of the image.

Refunds and Chargebacks

✧ All payments are final, and refunds can only be requested if I haven't started working on the project yet.✧ If I, the artist, decide to cancel the project, I will offer a full refund.✧ You, the client, are not allowed to issue chargebacks for any reason.✧ You must contact me beforehand if you decide to cancel the commission. Issuing a chargeback to get a refund without contacting me will result in immediate blacklisting.

Work speed | Schedule | Turnaround times

✧ You can check the current commission queue at this link.✧ Commissions usually take 7-28 working days (starting from the day after the first payment is confirmed), depending on the complexity, but these turnaround times are not fixed and may change based on my current workload.✧ I usually work on commissions based on request date order, meaning I will give priority to a client based on when the commission was paid. However, if an older commission is exponentially more detailed or time consuming than a recent one, the recent commission may be delivered sooner.✧ If you, the client, want to set a deadline for the project, you must do so before the first invoice is sent.✧ If the deadline requires me to give priority to your project over others and/or expects me to work at a faster speed than what is stated above, rush fees will be applied. Check rush fees in the prices section for details.✧ If deadlines are set, prompt communication is expected on the client's end as well. I will not be responsible if late replies cause the project to be delayed.✧ You will be notified as soon as possible in case of any delays on my end.

About

Hello! You can call me Ren, I'm an artist and videogames enthusiast. I'm currently pursuing Japanese studies in university, but whenever I'm not studying, I'm drawing the day away. My current focus is semirealistic character illustration.I spent most of my creative years making fanart only, but I finally discovered the joy of creating my own characters and telling my own stories in 2022. I love the process of painting and usually spend long hours rendering textures and details on characters.I've been drawing since I can remember, and art has always been my primary form of self expression.
The pieces you will see from me may not be the most action packed, but genuine bits of me are scattered throughout them, and I hope those feelings come across when you look at them.
